The Only Road to Heaven
I. Who has sinned?
Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” No one is good enough to get to Heaven by their good works.
II. God’s penalty for sin …
Romans 6:23a “For the wages of sin is death; …” The punishment for even one sin is eternity in Hell/the Lake of Fire.
III. Our way out …
Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Christ’s Love for us was expressed when He gave His life for us on the cross to pay our sin debt.
IV. How to be sure you are going to Heaven …
Romans 6:23b “… but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Jesus Christ has paid for your sins. To get to Heaven, you need to call upon Him and ask Him to save you.
Once you have come to the realization of your sinful condition and you know that your future is an eternity in the Lake of Fire,
your way out is to sincerely pray for Jesus to save you. Here is a simple rhyming prayer:
“Forgive me of my sin and shame and save my soul, in Jesus’ name.”
